Recommended Posts

Our February meeting will be a field trip to the University of Miami Experimental Fish Hatchery on Key Biscayne.

 

We will meet at the hatchery at 10 am. The tour should take about an hour or slightly longer.

Tentative Schedule of Trip:

 

10 am to 1130 am - U of M Fish Hatchery

12 pm to 2 pm - Importer

2 pm to 8)/>/>? LFS

 

Ed and Jeff are going to eat dinner at Azteca at I-595 before heading back to Fort Myers. All are welcome to join us.

That is exactly where we have met the past two years. At least the Fort Myers and north crowd. The Naples folks just headed straight across the alley.

OK, side trip to an importer is confirmed as of today. I'll update the original post with a schedule.

 

We also have a couple of tentative locations to meet for car pooling.

 

1) Wal-Mart at 951 and I-75 (Naples meeting location)

2) Rest area at Daniels and I-71 (Fort Myers/Cape Coral meeting location)

3) My house, 104 Sebring Circle (East Lee County folks)

A gps won't help you find coral reef farm...you just gotta use your keen reefer instincts. Nice store though

I've always wanted to do Coral Reef Farm but keep missing it for one reason or another. All Fish Emporium is of less interest to me, but always a fun visit.

Driving from home to key biscayne to tamarac back home is one loooong day.

I'll be doing it Wednesday and again on Saturday, with a possible return to Lauderdale on Sunday... ;)/>/>
