  3. We got certified at Dean's Dive center years ago and have taken refresher courses at Scubavice because they have their own pool, vs having to go to a high school pool for the practice portion of the certification before going to the keys for the open water certification. Dean's was PADI certification and Scubavice was NAUI certification when we were there.
  4. Have you tried your local schools? You could also try the IMAG History and Science center downtown Fort Myers. Other than that, MOTE marine in Sarasota, or the Shell museum in Sanibel or the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center in South Naples, or Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center by Doc Ford's near Fort Myers Beach.

  18. IMHO, dosers should be used to maintain levels once the levels are stable in the tank, not to rectify imbalances (I highly recommend dosers!). A couple of things I would check: are you confident in your test kit results? Take a water sample to your LFS and see what numbers they get on different test kits. You may find that your mag kit is not reading right. Low Magnesium is often the cause of a rapid DKH and calcium swings.
  19. That is a very cool and unique stand, good luck with the sale!
  20. Welcome to the forums, looking forward to seeing your build!
  21. SWFMAS visited the facility on a field trip earlier this year, was very interesting! This is also where Martin Moe's urchin research was moved to from the keys.
