The guy that wired my house needs to be shot.....and then beaten. Long story, but it boils down to..... One of the breakers keeps popping on the main tank. Fortunately, it is the one that runs the actinics, PC's and tunzes. Main lights are on their own breaker, main pumps are on a different breaker. Not sure what the problem is, replaced two of the three outlets on the breaker and it still pops. These were added outlets and a breaker for a computer set up (or so I'm told by my neighbors). Wiring gauge is too big for the outlets and he never cut a hole or put in a box, just poked a hole and shoved the outlet in. Near as I can tell, it is wired to one of the other outlets. First time I've seen an outlet with 4 black, 3 white and 2 grounds. __________________

Submitted by jdhuyvetter on Mon, 2008-08-11 21:36.I think so, but there is either a bad outlet, bad breaker or short somewhere. I've got an electrician coming by the house tomorrow at 4 pm, so hopefully I'll get it fixed or at least figure out the problem then.

Billy from Mabry Brothers is
Submitted by RockDoc on Tue, 2008-08-12 11:11.Billy from Mabry Brothers is the electrician who has worked on our system. We have 5 separate circuits, with their own breakers, and GFI's on each one. For months, we had a lot of problems, with breakers flipping and chillers and pumps going off at random times. Billy from Mabry Bros came three times and spent the time necessary to figure out what was going on. We have given him aquarium experience, so he understands what we reefers are dealing with. I highly recommend him, but if you call Mabry, you have to ask for Billy.

Fixed. Problem was one of
Submitted by jdhuyvetter on Tue, 2008-08-12 15:46.Fixed. Problem was one of the outlets that was added by the former homeowner. Could not access the outlet because of the tank. So, the outlet that I was not using was the problem!!!.
And yes, the second added outlet was the "main". The other three were "piggybacked" off of that one. Not anymore.
FYI, I used Biggerstaff Electric out of Lehigh. Showed up the next day...early!! Problem was fixed in about 40 minutes. Very happy, would recommend them to anyone else that might have a problem or need new wiring.
