Submitted by Sipos624 on Sun, 2007-11-04 09:22.Ya i know, i love my devils hand. I have PC's (almost 4 watts a gallon) but i am thinking of switching to T5's. I built my sump, i got all my materials from ACME Plastics; the total cost for it was a hundred something bucks (like $101 - $105 can't remeber) and i have enough acrylic for another sump too. I can give you a website that some guy has all these DIY sumps, instructions and plans. Ya the clown hosts the toadstool (he loves attention).
Looks great

I built my sump after his Model G ... i just modified it a bit to suit my needs. worked great for the 150g tank with less flow - on this new tank i have too much flow going through for the design, the back area behind the refugium is too narrow, the water channels too fast through there and causes microbubbles to be transported back into the tank, rather than allow them to pop to the surface.
