Just wonder what LFS most people go to.

I usually go to Fish Central, on Davis BLVD near US-41. I sometimes go to Naples Fish Store on the corner of Pine Ridge and 951(Collier BLVD).

Wow, this is an old thread,

Wow, this is an old thread, but I'll say Boardroom Aquatics has the best selection of gorgeous, healthy, unusual corals. Artistic Aquatics and Naples Fish Store have the nicest, most helpful and kind owners.

Those are my three favorites!

I like Glass Ocean the best,

I like Glass Ocean the best, then probably Boardroom.

no lol, the only thing that

no lol, the only thing that can be said bad about glass ocean is they have a limited selection, besides that they have the best prices in town and have some really nice livestock. The owner is really nice too. They also accept frags and give you a reasonable price for them..Bad experience or something Marco?

Boardroom has the selection, but some tanks I'm worried about buying from, for example they were selling coral out of a tank loaded with those nasty red flatworms. they also take forever for any service..

i'd like to go to some of the Naples stores but its too far a drive.

i go all over the place and

i go all over the place and everyone has their own attributes...
right now artistik is getting some nice and acans and stuff in so if ur looking for rare and high cost i like them...
Ryan at saltwater solutions gets some really nice stuff and gives me good prices they both have their own good qualities....
and if ur looking for sps i think fish central gets in the most abundant ones in the naples area they all got there own attributes that work in their favor...i work at fish central so i see the order sheets every week and get special orders in and first pick but those r my three favorite stores here
ive been to boardroom twice the first time i didnt liek their selection but the second time i did hwoever it took me an hour to get help and when i finally did i felt like they thought i was stupid and were talking down but all in all i get pretty much all of my stuff in my reefs from the first three stores mentioned and an occasional from dustin at ocean enviroments just because i go there and know him from naples..he does get some good stuff in if u go at the right time...but the stores is awfully dirty

thats my two cents

Sean, well .. the Glass

Sean,

well .. the Glass Ocean used to be a good store. Jeff ran what seemed to be a tight ship. Inventory was always decent to good, fish were healthy for the most part with the occasional fish that didn't look so great, but those were far & few in-between. Coral selection was always pretty darn good as well. Dry goods were well stocked & priced to sell quick.

The Glass Ocean was a good store till the end when Jeff was looking to sell.

Ron the new owner took it over ... John got fired - tanks took a sh*t - excuse my french. I've been in maybe 4 times since john got fired .... The tanks were dirty every time, coral selection "left much to be desired" at best, and fish were skinny, covered in parasites & just in bad shape ... dead fish still in the tanks - beside the fact that it was still not stocked.

To top it off ... what really killed it for me ... the kid that used to work at Ocean Environments in Fort Myers seems to run the (freak) show over there now ... he follows me like I'm jacking stuff - he asked me if he could help me - I said no, i'm just looking .. and he follows me around the store, 3 steps behind .... I've never been this uncomfortable walking into a store.

I don't get into store bashing ... and don't condone it - but since you asked .... yes. I have a reason.

My Fav store? There is NOT a store locally that can touch Fish & Other Ichthy Stuff in Oldsmar, let alone Sea In The City in Orlando. Other than that - Rich @ Boardroom has good stuff sometimes, Jeovani @ Artistik, and Ryan @ Saltwater Solutions.
As Darek pointed out ... Ocean Environments is dirty and most of the time doesn't have much of a selection ... what he said about boardroom seems true unless you visit Rich often and become a frequent customer.
