The cable attached to my hinge that lifted the canopy tore justa few minutes ago, and the canopy came down hard while it was all the way up - about 3 seconds later, and my head would've been over the tank, and probably broken my neck.

I DO NOT WANT TO REPLACE IT, AND WAIT FOR IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN IN A FEW WEEKS/MONTHS!

I could use some help with engineering a new canopy lift design.
I don't mind re-buildingt eh canopy from scratch, if that is what it takes. It can be taller, just not shorter.

If you have ideas, or want to actively participate, please let me know ... any help would be appreciated!
