Tank me is the company i was looking for, saw them mentioned in a few builds but couldn't find the threads later. Appreciate it Marcos! I would rather stay somewhat local to avoid shipping costs, and also support some local/semi local businesses.

Ive spoken with Gaston quite a few times, great and honest guy. Very down to earth.

His prices are reasonable and from what I’ve heard and seen, he’ll give very reasonable time estimates for delivery.

He has some absolutely stunning builds.
I have 2 sizes I've submitted to him, well see what he says. I would like a steel stand, but the carpenter in me says build something unique!
Looking for something in the 200-240 range. 6 foot or larger and 30" wide height is less of a worry of mine.

Well I bit the bullet and got a great deal on a used elos 160xl... tanks dimenaiona are 63"x31.5"x 23.5" with 5/8 starphire, and heavy... very heavy!(thanks to matt and heather for helping me move this beast). The tank was setup peninsula so I have to modify the stand and add some features I want( 4" ledge for drinks and a pull out drawer/frag station. Also have to build a floating canopy as well. Looking to reuse my diy fixtures and add another possibly a hydra 52 and the aquatic life t5 hybrid for some t5 spread.
Well added some inverts the past few weeks as I've never had too many... digging the urchin he's interesting!
Waiting on some plumbing parts from elos and planning sump layout getting pretty excited!a880a288447c6852ed56c19391889b8c.jpg3f9df413e1a695352daa807fea93669e.jpg633770a4fecf114679cd64a102e31faf.jpg1d999f552aa3bcf264d64d83f19ef7e1.jpga30b36b27f5c7812ad64a01ca3b4c929.jpgcf3852c5fa20ad6125b1c054680b48bf.jpg6dd9008eb8c13e5455ead40c60d338f6.jpg15a58c7298a3b110ca441ed7da7575c7.jpg

Where are you planning on getting them? I need to order a rectangular vertical water container, but will not be attending the meeting. Think you’ll have space for a third?

Tank depot out of pompano beach, I am going with 2 65 gallon vertical tanks I think I could fit 3. Check out their site and call and check availability shouldn't be a problem!

Another week and getting slightly closer, picked up 2 x 55 gallon water storage tanks for RODI and salt mixing station. Just need to round up some valves and throw it together. Next week i will be gathering my lumber for the tank and mixing station and getting the project in gear! Had the opportunity to check out stylo's setup , absolutely stunning a wealth of knowledge for sure!74989641a5c6f3650c143ae542e4cf21.jpg

Well making progress on the build finally !
Last weekend I built a dual 55 gallon mixing station. Thanks to sylo328 for the iwaki pump. Need to wire in the eb8, ago, and auto water change then add the dual di canister.

Today I got the skeleton of the stand built.
Will be re -using all the doors and panels but will be adding a 4" shelf around the top for a "drink holder" while tank gazing.

Used a 2x8 ripped down to 6" for the main span of 51" used 2x6 and 2x4 for the verticals. Everything was ripped square for a clean look, and attached with pocket screws and glue.7fb9a0f1e4a82e1f38c4c8d9635299aa.jpg

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Stand will be skinned with 3/4" plywood, but all sides will have doors. Left will be side acces/ supply storage test kits etc.. .
Right side will have all my electronics and wiring contained and away from saltwater spray( excited to have a organized wiring/ controller area vortechs, apex, rd3 controller.

Got another bit done on the stand, picked up some hinges, plywood and laminate... untill the laminate binding exploded and shattered it into 15,000 pieces. I just thought I would finish this weekend. Here's my progress.
Stand nearly wrapped with plywood

This side will house my electronics/apex

Almost there, have to hang the doors and build the ledge around the stand.

considering adding a 1" brushed aluminum channel across top under the ledge of the top. Opinions? Going to add multicolored led strip for mood lighting and thought it would reflect off aluminum nicely!

I'm not one to offer opinions on design because you're the one that gets to enjoy it every day so it should be to your taste.  But since you asked, leave the trim off.  That stand is a piece of art and I just think it would distract from it.  My $.02.

You’re killing me Bob - I’m finally ready to start working on my project again, and been contemplating building a new stand all week.... want to come over one of these evenings again?

Thanks for the input, after I got the top on I didn't have enough room for it anyways. I think your right it would have been too much. Well got the top on and placed the sump in.... it fit almost like I planned it.. which I did not btw.
Finishing touches.

Sump looks small in there... it's 48x20x18

Finally going to have an un-cluttered birdnest of wires.

Tank was looking great but I'm sure you'll have the red sea looking even better!

Let me know if there's any "accidental frags" available after the move
