Ok time has come 6 months behind secedule and never enough $

thanks ron you are an insperation, bob i found an air  2" orbital buffer at harbor freight ,and im using a 3" angle die grinder with GL tec dry sandpaper slow going but good results, i also found as the slurey drys it cuts much better , now im up to about a dinner plate and a 1/4 . thanks  charlie

bob u r right as the cerium starts to dry thats when it starts to polish so 400 to a dull consistant haze then co for 3-4, 2,5 mins dose a good job thanks charlie

Awesome, I'll have to try it on a spare tank wanted to try and remove some larger/deeper scratches I know the cerium oxide removes any and all gases from abrasions if used with enough pressure. I'm amazed I havnt seen more people using it. Keep us updated bit I know it's a long process!

the sand paper i got is for use on glass and works dry its sold on the web in 5 and 6 " im using a 2"angle air grinder and cuting the 5" down into 3 -2" disk s works well but wares out the disk fast good thing there cheep lol charlie

Ok I got the same disks I belive from get tools.... wow cant wait to see the results pretty exciting! Long and taxing but exciting! You'll be happy with the results, I was and I just used cerium oxide!

yea itd test water to try and tune the sound down and watch the flow and movement. today is the day to drain and change what needs to change and start to fill with ro . what a long strange trip its been salt befor this christmass charlie

Ok sorry for the long delay with LAS ( lazy ass syndrome)  3 trips.  Macna and hiking all over Arizona , and Grand Canyon with Rick,Lisa ,Matt and heather, and robin. working and a general dred of what I have to do !. I’ve gotten started on polishing the eching from the run away Coraline  alge. A word to the wise don;t let it get this bad ! After 20 mins of sanding with 400 grit sand paper then 20 mins polishing with cerium oxide I have clear patch about the size of dinner plate ,

             that’s all done and befor you say wtf i’ll Let you know that robin said I could do it !!!!!! plumbing done , glass as clean as it’s going to get ,fresh water tested minimal water on the floor ,drain down checks out no overfilling the sump yea man new sumpspace lights ,pumps and display lighting I think it’s time for life off / fill up

It all looks really well done Charlie, nice clean workmanship, congrats. I like the egg crate platform on top of the pipes running along the bottom of the tank. Did you have that kind of set up under the rocks in the original tank?
